Life Cycle

Knightibranches are adaptable creatures with long lives, varied bodies, and communities that shape how they grow and survive.

Habitat Adaptability

Knightibranches can breathe both in water and on land. This allows them to live in many different environments, from forests and wetlands to coastal regions and other natural habitats.

Reproduction

Knightibranches are intersex and typically lay one egg per year. Their pronouns and identities vary widely, and Knights may identify anywhere across the spectrum.

Size

Knightibranches can vary greatly in size. A normal, non-mutated Knight may be around the size of a raccoon, while Knights with three or more mutations may grow closer to the size of medium dogs.

Elemental Knightibranches are the smallest, often around the size of squirrels, but they are much faster than their peers.

Lifespan

Most Knightibranches live between 200 and 500 years, especially when they live in stable groups or communities.

Once a Knightibranch reaches 100 years old, they are considered an adult. Elemental Knightibranches often do not live past 150 years due to how active they are in protecting their communities from threats or conflict.

Forbidden Pairings

Some pairings are considered forbidden in certain communities. Mixed elemental offspring can be unpredictable or unstable, so some communities ban these pairings while others accept or even embrace them.
